Position Title: DIRFloortimeSupervisor
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate DIRFloortime Supervisor to join our team. The successful DIRFloortime Supervisor candidate will possess advanced expertise in the DIRFloortime model and will be responsible for conducting in-person assessments, developing and writing treatment plans, ensuring the treatment plans are effective and up-to-date, supervising junior practitioners, and contributing to the ongoing development of our DIRFloortime program. This DIRFloortime Supervisor role requires a deep commitment to supporting the developmental, individual-difference, and relationship-based needs of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental challenges.
DIRFloortime Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Treamtment Plan:
Conduct in-depth assessments to create individualized DIRFloortime treatment plans for children with ASD.
Develop and document tailored therapeutic goals and plans in collaboration with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Regularly evaluate and update treatment plans to ensure they remain effective and aligned with the child’s developmental progress.
Supervision and Mentorship:
Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior practitioners, ensuring the quality and fidelity of DIRFloortime® interventions.
Lead case consultations, offering expertise and support in complex cases.
Family and Caregiver Collaboration:
Provide parent training once a week.
Engage and educate families and caregivers in the DIRFloortime® approach, encouraging their active participation in the therapeutic process.
Offer ongoing support and resources to families, empowering them to apply DIRFloortime® principles in daily interactions with their children.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely records of all therapeutic sessions, assessments, and communications in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with all relevant licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements.
DIRFloortime Supervisor Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or a related field.
Certification: DIRFloortime® Advanced Certification DIR-Advanced is required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with ASD and other developmental challenges using the DIRFloortime® model.
Licensure: Must hold and maintain current licensure in the relevant field (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, OT, SLP).
Skills:
Deep understanding and practical expertise in applying the DIRFloortime® model.
Strong ability to supervise, mentor, and train other practitioners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
DIRFloortime Supervisor Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in the client's home.
