Woo's IT is seeking a hands-on, adaptable Contract IT Support Specialist to provide exceptional on-site technical support and help desk services for our diverse client base. This is a role for a problem-solver who’s comfortable traveling, getting hands-on with all kinds of tech, and tackling tasks that range from climbing ladders to troubleshooting computers. This position requires frequent travel to client sites, mainly in the greater Atlanta area, however sometimes including drives of 4-5 hours each way, along with work in dynamic environments like restaurants, offices, and retail spaces. From installing camera systems to replacing POS setups to resolving standard office tech issues, no two days are the same.
What You’ll Do:
- On-Site Support: Travel to client locations to handle technical issues across a variety of environments, such as restaurants, offices, and retail businesses.
- Hands-On Installation: Set up and configure hardware, including POS systems, camera systems, networking devices, and office technology.
- Cabling & Setup: Perform cabling tasks, ensuring neat and effective setups for new systems or upgrades.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve issues with office computers, network devices, and software systems on-site and remotely.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine checks to identify and address potential problems before they arise.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to urgent technical issues, minimizing downtime for clients.
- Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their needs and provide custom solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and troubleshooting for continuity and reporting.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Technical Aptitude: Experience in IT field operations or hands-on tech work is preferred. However, we’re willing to train the right candidate with a can-do attitude and technical aptitude.
- Physical Readiness: Comfortable with physically demanding tasks like climbing ladders and working in varied environments such as restaurant kitchens or office buildings.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in diverse settings.
- Travel-Ready: Willing to drive 4-5 hours each way to client locations as needed.
