Your Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist position include:
- Accounts Payable:
- Review and verify invoices for proper documentation and approval.
- Code invoices with appropriate GL codes and enter them into NetSuite for processing.
- Prioritize invoices based on payment terms and cash discount opportunities.
- Audit and process credit card bills and vendor payments through online platforms.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- General Financial Support:
- Input inventory sheets into NetSuite for job costing.
- Optimize workflows for efficiency and accuracy, including invoice integration processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
- Work independently while collaborating with team members to resolve issues.
- Support process improvements and contribute to a positive team environment.
What We’re Looking for in a Candidate for the Accounts Payable Specialist position:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Accounts payable experience preferred but not required. NetSuite and accounts receivable experience are a plus.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all tasks.
Additional Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, especially for working with Spanish-speaking vendors or customers.
