We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bus Driver Substitute.
The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) coordinates services for over 1,000 people with developmental disabilities in Wood County. Our mission is to support, empower, and inspire. BUS DRIVER SUBSTITUTE
- Civil Service Appointment: Unclassified
- Bi-Weekly Hours: Intermittent
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- Healthcare Benefits: In-Eligible
- Normal Working Hours: M-F, 6:00am - 9:00am, 2:30pm - 5:00pm; hours may vary according agency need
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide safe transportation for individuals receiving services from the Wood County Board of DD from home to site of services and return. Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of the passengers while in transit. Will operate a vehicle in a safe and lawful manner while transporting individuals receiving services and/or performing work related duties.
- Provide safe care and minimal maintenance of the vehicle and equipment and complete required reports such as mileage, fuel, pre-trip, and post-trip inspection, etc.
- Shall be responsible for implementing prescribed measures and techniques for behavior support and medical issues in accordance with student Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
- Duties such as, but not limited to representing agency to community through attendance at meetings or presentations before groups.
- Attend conferences, workshops, etc. designed to enhance professional growth.
- Assume other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administration.
