We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Custodian.
The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) coordinates services for over 1,000 people with developmental disabilities in Wood County. Our mission is to support, empower, and inspire. CUSTODIAN
Civil Service Appointment: Classified
Bi-Weekly Hours: 50, Part-time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Healthcare Benefits: In-eligible
Normal Working Hours: M-F, evenings; hours may vary according agency need
Job Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, washes walls, cleans, dusts, and disinfects furniture and fixtures, clean and empty trash receptacles; cleans and disinfects all restrooms facilities (toilets, sinks, urinal, shower stalls, etc.); refurbishes floors and stocks supplies and closets; operates custodial equipment safely.
- Locks and unlocks buildings, offices, and classrooms upon request.
- Request, maintain, and distributes needed supplies (paper products and cleaning products) as needed.
- On a continuous basis, inspects building and equipment for needed repairs or replacement, evidence of fire, illegal entry and/or theft of property, and reports findings to the Custodial Supervisor.
- Duties such as, but not limited to representing agency to community through attendance at meetings or presentations before groups. Attend conferences, workshops, etc. designed to enhance professional growth. Assume other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administration.
