The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) coordinates services for over 1,000 people with developmental disabilities in Wood County. Our mission is to support, empower, and inspire. School Cook Substitute
- Unclassified Appointment
- Bi-Weekly Hours: Intermittent based on agency needs
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- Healthcare Benefits: In-Eligible
- Normal Working Hours: M-F, 7:30 a.m. –2:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares daily meals, packs lunches to be transported, and serves lunches to students.
- Works with teachers/assistants who come in the kitchen for teaching aids involving food.
- Assists with providing work direction to the Food Service Worker(s) in preparation of meals and cleanup of kitchen and cafeteria.
- Assists in cleanup of kitchen and cooking equipment, preparing meals for next day, preparing special lunches for field trips, stocking shelves, freezers, and refrigerators.
- Plans, implements and is responsible for the food program for Wood Lane School.
- Responsible for daily receipts, maintain all necessary records and documentation according to all applicable federal, state and location regulations.
- Keep inventory current.
- Order and store all food supplies.
- Recommend purchase of equipment for the lunch program.
