Athletic Trainer Provides personal care and professional excellence by providing patient care services as specified under the direction of a qualified supervisor.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delivers direct patient care including sports medicine evaluations, treatment planning and home exercise programs that are age and diagnosis appropriate.
2. Evaluates progress, adjusts treatment approach as necessary and completes all documentation timely.
3. When at the High School, keeps accurate records of athletes with injuries and demonstrates appropriate care and communication between athletes, coaches and parents.
4. Properly supervises and effectively instructs supportive staff as needed.
5. Assists in the proper orientation and supervision of new employees including PTs, PTAs, Rehab Aides and ATCs.
6. Assists in the proper development and implementation of department Q.A. studies.
7. Participates on hospital and department committees serving general employee benefit.
8. Maintains licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Ohio and National Certification.
