Director of Plant Operations
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Writes job descriptions for department, recruits and interviews new personnel. Evaluates personnel in a timely fashion. 2. Schedules individual job assignments, schedules vacation, sick leave, LOA, absenteeism, training, education and call scheduling. 3. Fiscally shows sound management in control of equipment and supply inventories. Advises Vice President on budget planning and development and maintains and processes invoices and records as needed. 4. Oversees and controls the quality of work done by maintenance personnel during daily rounds. Controls work orders and job prioritizing. 5. Formulates and reviews preventive maintenance schedules. 6. Keeps test and preventive maintenance schedules. 7. Maintains good interdepartmental relations. 8. Delegates authority to department members when deemed necessary. 9. Recommends personnel actions, such as transfers and disciplinary actions. Employs sound judgment in decision making. 10. Must maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and be insurable by our insurance agency. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Physical Demands and Working Conditions 1.
