What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Driver - Birmingham, AL position at Wood Fruitticher Grocery Company Inc?
Our Route Drivers are responsible for delivering products and customer service to out customer locations. They start their days off early by picking up the trailers at our location. Throughout the day they will make stops at several customer locations throughout the area. Drivers are paid a flat hourly rate plus case and stop pay. They will be loading cases of varying weights up to 100lbs onto hand trucks to make these deliveries.
Shuttle Drivers are responsible for picking up empty trailers at our drop yards, delivering them to our Birmingham, AL location. They pick up the loaded trailers from that location and take them back to the drop yards. This position works Sunday-Thursday night. Doubles certification is required for this position.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
- Able to lift product in and out of truck multiple times a day
- Reading, writing and math skills
- Possess a current Commercial Driver License / Class A
- Must be able to drive a manual
- Good attendance
- Position must pass a post offer drug test, DOT physical and background check
Salary Description
1600-1900 per week
