SUMMARY
Procurement personnel are responsible for managing the purchase of goods and services as required for the operation of the WGPW business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position includes but is not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities.
- Quote materials, parts, & services to assure that WGPW is receiving the best possible value for all purchases.
- Process VSO’s in a timely manner.
- Manage vendor turn times, cost, & quality.
- Monitor deadlines and proactively address issues or deviations. Communicate changes as needed to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with timely & accurate processing of vendor invoices. Reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Foster & maintain positive & collaborative relationships with vendors.
- Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries & issues.
- Maintain accurate & detailed documentation for all purchasing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze & determine supplier capabilities & capacity in order to make sound sourcing decisions Keen attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the team.
- Possess basic computer skills including electronic mail and Microsoft Office Applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one-year related experience.
- PIV Certificate preferred but not required.
