Medical Office Practice Manager / Center for Weight Loss / Full Time In accordance with the mission of Wood Health Company and Wood County Women’s Care, the Office Manager oversees the day-to-day operations in his/her practice(s), assures that all medical equipment and all other physical properties are maintained and are in good operational condition, and effectively plans and directs center operations by coordinating business office and clinical activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity of staff and physicians/providers.Job Duties:
Following the guidelines outlined in the Values Circle, the office manager will work with the area practice manager in the creation and development of a positive culture in the medical office.
Responsible for corporate compliance in practice(s).
Institute policies and procedures in such areas as scheduling, registration, billing, and collections; oversees adherence to these policies and procedures.
Coordinate office processes related to billing with the Central Billing Office.
Insures and verifies the collection of correct and adequate patient and insurance information.
Monitor practice adherence to the credit and collection policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with point-of-service collection policies and procedures to maintain acceptable cash collections.
Maintains timecards and process payroll accurately and timely.
Monitor provider and practice performance and assists in setting goals.
Maintains open communication with hospital departments, referring physicians, staff physicians and employees.
Conducts regular meetings; runs monthly staff meetings and is an active participant in provider meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree required
In lieu of formal education, a high school graduate with a minimum of 3 years' experience in health care or physician office environment
Preferred Experience:
Management experience preferred.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records, Practice Management software, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
