JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting for a Field E&I Designer to join its Oil, Gas & New Energies (OGNE) business in the Midland, TX area and field locations. The expectation is that this will be a short term role (about 6 months, with the possibility of added work) that will focus on supporting brownfield surface facilities retrofits, expansions, and debottlenecking projects in the Electrical & Instrumentation discipline. Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.
Local candidates preferred, as no per diem or relocation are available for this role. No outside agencies.

As an E&I Designer, you will be responsible for producing facility designs and layouts with knowledge of structural, mechanical, controls, and electrical equipment systems. You will perform design tasks for purchasing and construction-level drawings, create reliable CAD models with precision, and develop and improve department practices / standards. Your role will involve conducting design reviews and traveling to job sites as required.
