Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for Senior Draftspersons / CAD Designers to support our Digital Engineering Team in the US. Please note that at this stage, applications for these roles are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) while opportunities are being fully determined.

The Role
The Senior Draftspersons / CAD Designers shall provide engineering data and documentation updates using various CAD / Raster editing packages, assisting in creating mark-ups, checking and approving documentation adhering to all relevant standards, processes and procedures. In addition to maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail to enable Digital Engineering to continue to deliver a quality service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities
Create / update engineering documentation and data as required in line with client engineering requirements or as-building expectationsUtilization of 2D & 3D software packages enabling the continued update and creation of 2D documentation, 3D designs, 3D models (utilizing point cloud information), digital twins, clash detection analysis, intelligent documentation etc.Have extensive experience of two or more 2D and 3D CAD packages, such as AutoDesk, Aveva, Hexagon and BentleyProvide QA checking / approval of documentation produced by Digital Engineering colleaguesReview client modification / project work packs to ensure technical and construction information is correctLocate associated documentation and review the impact the modifications may have, providing digital, red-lined mark-ups for colleagues to work from as well as for audit purposesProvide technical guidance and support to colleagues, as requiredLead / assist in undertaking site surveys utilizing digital technology as required i.e. Laser Scanning, photogrammetry as well as surveys of systems (electrical, control and instrumentation), dependent on own discipline knowledgeLead / assist, as required in managing discrete scopes of workManage own workload to ensure timely delivery to clientsLead / attend client meetings as requiredContinually assist in the review of software, technology and current processes to offer innovative solutions enhancing delivery of service to clientsEnsure client satisfaction is maintained / exceededReport to & support Technical Lead as requiredAssist in the creation of Cost, Time & Resource (CTR) estimatesAdhere to company policies & proceduresBe part of the company Safety and Quality CultureDisplay and promote Woods' core valuesQUALIFICATIONS

Expected :
Associate's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or appropriate level of experienceSuitable CAD qualification or appropriate experienceKnowledge, skills, and experience :
Experience and a drive for continual learning / understanding of the latest design tools, technologies and processesExpertise in CAD software packages such as AutoDesk, Aveva, Hexagon or BentleyKnowledge of good information management practices for operational assetsExperience within a Drawing / Design Office environmentA good level of general computer skills (good electronic housekeeping)Demonstrate a good understanding of industry best practices and work to established standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to work with multiple stakeholders in a professional mannerDesired :
