Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for Technical Leads to support our Digital Engineering Team in the US. Please note that at this stage, applications for these roles are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.

The Role
The Technical Lead shall lead and manage a team to deliver engineering data management (1D,2D,3D) services to a range of customers, across multiple sectors and industries.
Act as a customer focal point, ensuring that work is delivered in accordance with agreed key performance indicators (KPI), budgets, schedules, procedures and quality, while also identifying opportunities to grow the services with new and existing customers.
Support the Operations Manager to identify and implement change and improvement in operational efficiencies, processes and procedures and identifying customer solutions.
Work alongside other Technical Leads to ensure that resources are deployed effectively and to identify potential recruitment needs required to deliver the services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery and Performance
Support the HSSEA culture and performanceSupport the elimination of technical incidents through robust controls, incident reviews and embedding lessons learntManage and work within budgets, and have responsibility for financial performance, for the customers and projects in their area of the businessDrive operational efficiencies and margin enhancement through innovation and the application of digital technologies, across traditional servicesSupport opportunities for margin enhancement including through GDEC utilizationEnsure service integrity is maintained across work scopes and frameworksPrepare short-term and long-term workforce plans to identify staff required to meet forecasted demandSupport the continuous improvement of systems and tools to deliver cost-effective and competitive executionPrepare appropriate proposals and estimates in line with customer expectations, utilizing Subject Matter Experts (SME), to support technical submissionsPrepare reports and project summaries for customers and internal reviewsStrategy and Development :
Provide support to the business development process to identify and win new workAct as an advocate for digital offerings, both internally and to our customers, to enhance our market opportunitiesSupport the strengthening of worksharePeople and Capability :

Expected :
Minimum of an bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or relevant subjectProject Management Qualification to PMP / PMQ levelKnowledge, skills, and experience :
Experience of engineering / technical service delivery in relevant industry sectorExpertise in engineering data for operational assets, 1D (CMMS, asset tag registers), 2D (drawings and documents) or 3D (models, scan data, digital twins), it's uses for projects and operations, and relationships between different data sets / types of dataExperience in maintaining engineering data at as-built / as-is statusKnowledge of management of change processes, in relation to brownfield projects and modifications as well as project data handover requirementsExperience and understanding of design tools and processesBroad understanding of the business drivers for relevant sector clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to work with multiple stakeholdersAble to resource talent to meet current and future needsExperience in developing talent using coaching, mentoring and formal performance processesExperience in developing project execution plans and schedulesUnderstanding of Building Information Modelling and digital twins (unified digital platforms such as Aveva AIM, Bentley ALIM, etc.) would be advantageousPersonal attributes
