The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in plant maintenance, a strong mechanical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing equipment, and coordinating major overhauls with external vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- Repair and rebuild equipment, including pumps, compressors, and engines.
- Replace mechanical seals and align rotating equipment using conventional and automated methods.
- Operate hydraulic man lifts, forklifts, and other rolling plant equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma and 6-8 years experience as a plant mechanic or equivalent.
- Formal training or trade school education in mechanical or related field preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work a 4-day week, 10-hour day with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
