Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Staff Engineer working as a Civil designer in the Sacramento or Roseville Water Resources’ Flood and Drainage group. The position entails performing civil technical analyses, preparing designs, drafting construction plans, and preparing construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating and construction assistance.
This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
What you will be doing
- Performing as a member of a design team managed by a Senior Level Project Engineer.
- Field review of project sites to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.
- Preparing technical analyses and engineering designs.
- AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Development.
- Construction coordination / inspection / documents review
Qualifications & Skills
Strong ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and collaborate within a team setting.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.Possession of a valid California driver’s license.2–5 years of experience conducting engineering technical analyses for water resource projects.Actively working toward professional engineering licensure.Hands-on experience with GIS and a solid working knowledge of its applications.Engagement in industry-related professional organizations.A note on hourly pay ranges
The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
