Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Senior Field Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing construction observation, testing, and inspection of various phases of construction which includes but not limited to mass grading, utility installation, paving, and concrete installation.
This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
What you will be doing
Performs construction observation, field materials testing and special inspection for various phases of construction including mass grading, utility installation, concrete and asphalt concrete paving.
Preparation of daily field reports, density summaries, compressive strength test reports and asphalt paving reports.
Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance and calibration to ensure accurate readings.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School graduate/diploma is required
5+ years of experience in construction quality control and special inspection is required
Certification in nuclear (moisture-density) gauge safety.
NAQTC Certification
American Concrete Institute certification is required
Special Inspection certifications are preferred
Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable
Knowledgeable in general construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Understanding of general construction site safety precautions.

The range does not reflect geographic variations and may fluctuate above or below the stated amount. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
