Civil Litigation Support Specialist

Job Overview
National law firm Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman LLP has an opening for a skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Support Specialist in our Hartford office. This is a hybrid position requiring you to come into the office 2 days per week. We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation or a similar field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain attorneys calendar by planning and scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, teleconferences, and travel.
• Communicate with outside law firms to schedule depositions and other meetings as needed.
• Prepare and file pleading documents and discovery documents while consulting with the attorney.
• Open and close legal files.
• Handle general correspondence between outside law firms, clients, and insurance carriers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Heavy document management organizational skills.
• Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
• High level of computer competency, in the complete Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage document file system.
