Are you looking to join a forward-thinking national defense firm?
We are seeking paralegals to support our national litigation practice. Although this position will be based in New Jersey, it will involve supporting cases nationwide as part of a paralegal pool.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of case management including pre-trial preparation, summarizing medical records, and providing assistance with discovery work up.
- Process and follow up on subpoenas for various types of records.
- Communicate with experts and prepare material needed for expert witness review.
- Conduct trial preparation, including the preparation of exhibits, witness materials, and pre-trial documents.
Requirements
- A paralegal certificate is required.
- Prior litigation and trial experience is preferred.
- The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and self-motivated.
- They must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage, e-Copy, and PDF conversion is also necessary.
Work Environment
This position requires regular attendance at the office three days per week, and the successful candidate must reside in the greater Berkeley Heights area.
