The Finisher operates one or more types of deburring, chipping, grinding, graining, and polishing equipment to resurface welded assemblies and stainless-steel parts to NSF standards for food service equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate large belt sander, pedestal buffer wheel, media blaster, acid-based electrochemical weld cleaning, 2-ton overhead hoist

• Use a variety of hand tools including air-powered and electric grinders and drum sanders
• Use production software to track work and report completed quantities accurately.

• Use appropriate PPE and observe safe practices as required
• Contribute to cleaning and organizing work area
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Requires 0 - 2 years of experience in the field
• Commitment to company values
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Proficient in the use of power and hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math, including understanding fractions
• Ability to select proper tools for each task and identify metal grain
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed indoors. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Exposure to elevated levels of noise when the mixer is running; hearing protection required.

Potential for overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, gripping, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing most of the shift. The employee frequently lifts or moves items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
