Wood Violet Recovery – an affiliate of Sunshine Behavioral Health - is a residential substance use treatment program. We’re located in Dodgeville, Wisconsin - approximately 45 minutes from Madison.

We’re looking for a PM Charge Nurse to help provide medical oversight of Wood Violet Recovery’s detoxification and residential programs.
- You will oversee and supervise the onsite medical staff, which is made up of RNs and LPNs.
- You will perform direct services to clients, including medication administration and education of prescribed medications.
- Your position will be responsible for signing off on all behavioral health services administered by the RNs and LPNs.

Sunday through Thursday
3:30pm-12:00am
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and provide appropriate detox services, prescribed medication education, and execution of orders given by the providers.
- Participate in initial detox treatment planning and discharge planning..
- Consult with the physician regarding patient health care plans and treatment.
- Participates in diagnostic test orders to help providers identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Complies with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care. Initiates and maintains required records and legal documents.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Educates patients about health and illness’ and promotes health maintenance
- Collaborates with the clinical team regarding the patient’s treatment, health and illness prevention.
- Maintains and reviews patients records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts test and examination results daily
- Administers medications, provides vaccinations and renders treatment to clients.
- Communicates with providers, RNs, LPNs, and medical professionals ensuring a continuum of care for each client.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from clients and their parents, spouses or guardians as needed.
- Oversee and maintain the tracking of medical supplies and inventory.
- Observe and record client behavior as needed or directed.
- Scheduling – this includes finding coverage for requested days off and call offs.
- Provider scheduling – ensure that when a client comes off detox, they are placed on the master schedule. Update the schedule daily and send to the nurse stations and Director of Nursing. Write out daily schedules for providers.
- Assist in the training of new staff and the ongoing training of current staff as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
- 3-5 Years of nursing experience, preferably in the chemically dependent population.
- 1-3 Years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Ability to explain treatments and conditions to clients of all ages.
- Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
- Utilization Review experience is a plus.
- Experience working with medical records is a plus.
