Wood is recruiting for an entry level Control Room Operator/Monitor - Night Shift. This position serves on the front-line of monitoring remote operations and is the primary contact for well operations support. Utilizing remote surveillance programs, SCADA systems, and customized workflows, the operator can visualize problems from a unique perspective and quickly drive solutions.
This position is based in the field office working nights in a control room setting and will remotely perform system wide (from well to sales) surveillance, diagnostics & optimization in collaboration with field personnel.
Location: McCook, TX
Schedule: 7x7 Rotation - Due to the full-time, long-term nature of this position, candidates are required to reside within a 50-mile radius of the site. This arrangement allows for returning home every evening, without provisions for man-camps or housing per diem. Responsibilities
- Communicate Wells alarms to field staff
- SCADA, Cygnet,
- Identify immediate action alarms and perform shut down if necessary
- Communicate shutdowns and insights from trending/analysis
- Manage trucking logistics and tank inventory
- Review and schedule load entries to meet marketing priorities, communicate priorities to carriers
- Manage field requests to schedule transfer truck to work bottoms
- Communicate to field staff hauling issues on location
- Manage Emergency Dispatch if needed
- Communicate Mainline alarms to field staff
- Collaborate with field operators with troubleshooting, shutdowns and insights from trending/analysis, sequence shutdown events,
QUALIFICATIONS
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Previous experience in oil and gas operations with understanding of production facilities, processes, surveillance
- Willing to work in a Control Room environment.
- Ability to work overtime for coverage as needed.
- Knowledge of various oil and gas production/lifting methods and well control: sand production, high-pressure and low-pressure operations, free flow mechanism, gas-lift, plunger-lift, chemical treatment.
- Knowledge of various facility processes: gathering systems, dehydration, compression, pipeline, stabilization.
- Proficiency with business applications software, including Office 365
- Intermediate proficiency in SCADA system applications and interface
- Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments.
- Invites dialogue to gain a shared understanding and influences with confidence to drive performance.
- Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks opportunities to collaborate.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
