Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project Planner - Outage projects to join its Operations America business focusing on Power and Industrial. This opportunity is remote with frequent travel and extended stays.
The Role
The Senior Project Planner will ensure that Wood's processes and tools are utilized to execute the planning process, enabling the timely and budget-friendly delivery of projects. The Senior Project Planner will integrate third-party and subcontractor schedules into the master project plan and monitor their progress. Additionally, his role will be the primary contact for the Project Manager, Client, or Project Team regarding schedule, date, and resource management, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with project requirements.

Typical responsibilities
- Act as the main contact with the client and contractor Project Controllers to ensure accurate progress reporting.
- Establish the planning structure and schedule labor budgets based on the Client-approved project estimate.
- Coordinate and prepare detailed plans and schedules according to the approved WBS and scope owner.
- Develop schedule baseline reports and establish the baseline plan upon approval.
- Analyze resources required for both baseline and forecast projections.
- Collate project progress, update schedules, and perform time analysis and resource scheduling.
- Integrate third-party and subcontractor programs into the master schedule and monitor their progress.
- Produce and issue project planning reports within the agreed timeframe.
- Assess and communicate the impact of project changes, incorporating approved Change Orders into project plans and baselines.

Expected
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of relevant industry experience in project management or project control positions
- Training and/or experience in Primavera P6
- Experience in scheduling and management of change
- Knowledgeable across procurement and construction execution
- Current authorization to lawfully work in the United States without sponsorship from Wood is required
- Experience in Oracle ERP software
