Spike Gjerde's James Beard Award winning Woodberry Kitchen, Baltimore's source for the finest in local and sustainably sourced fine dining, is searching for a Bartender to add to our current creative, committed, and all around amazing team. If you have the following skills, persona, and interest in supporting the growers of the Chesapeake region, we would love to talk to you.
Our Bartenders are tasked with developing drinks that expose guests to the local flavors and possibilities found in the ingredients sourced from the Chesapeake watershed. We present a unique challenge to those committed to locally sourced, sustainable, and/or bio-dynamically grown ingredients. Additionally, we trust our bartenders to be able to readily speak to the beverage menu and assist guests in pairings that would best accompany their meal. A confident, warm persona, dedication to sustainably sourced product, identification with empathetic service, and a constant learning mindset are a must for this position, as is at least 3 years of bar service and an extensive knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer.
