Woodbridge Holdings has an opening at its Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics L.P. facility in
Chattanooga, Tennessee, for a Senior Quality Engineer position. Design, develop, test, and evaluate
integrated systems for overseeing industrial production processes, including quality control, inventory
control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Estimate production
costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management
review, action, and control. Coordinate timely and effective product and program introduction up to a
production ready stage through the use of Advanced Quality Planning, PPAP, and IMDS submissions.
Implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures as relevant to resolve production
problems, maximize efficiency, and minimize costs. Work closely with customers, operating groups, and
suppliers to resolve engineering quality related issues through effective root cause problem solving
techniques, including managing and monitoring results of the customers’ supplier scorecard. Partner
effectively with associated departments as well as suppliers in order to meet individual customer
specifications and requirements cost-effectively. Direct customer and vendor surveys to meet required
business ratings. Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering procedures and maintain quality
procedures and processes in conformance with IATF-16949 quality management standards. Supervise
quality engineering activities and other engineering personnel, including Woodbridge’s testing
laboratory, with the goal of improving product quality. Provide quality related technical engineering
advice based on knowledge of industry and customer specific standards to resolve quality matters and
ensure continuous improvement of engineering activities and industrial production processes for
manufacturing quality process. Serve as resource regarding product quality and provide troubleshooting
recommendations. Coach and mentor engineering staff to achieve continuous employee development.
Management departmental budget in a fiscally prudent manner. Requires Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent foreign degree in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing
Engineering. Position requires at least 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in
overseeing industrial production processes & maintaining quality planning processes and procedures, at
least one year of which was in the automobile parts manufacturing industry. Must also have 2 years of
experience supervising engineering staff & utilizing IATF-16949 for quality management. Qualified
