The Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing labor data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in labor costs. The role focuses on optimizing staffing levels, improving productivity, and ensuring efficient labor utilization through cost analysis, forecasting, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze labor data from timekeeping systems, payroll, and production reports to identify cost discrepancies and trends.
- Cost Variance & Productivity: Compare actual labor costs with budgets, identify inefficiencies, and track productivity metrics to improve workforce performance.
- Labor Forecasting & Reporting: Develop labor forecasts based on demand and schedules; prepare reports on labor costs and budget variances for management review.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with operations to implement cost-reducing process improvements and optimize staffing.
- Labor Standards & KPIs: Assist in setting labor standards and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure productivity and cost savings.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs to improve efficiency and reduce labor costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, time and attendance systems, and production operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
