Description

Performs intermediate clerical work encompassing a variety of office assistance tasks; does related work as required. This position is under the direct authority of the County Engineer
Duties
The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Answers phone inquiries within scope of responsibility and refers inquiries to proper resource when necessary
- Assists in the accurate, timely, and efficient processing of payroll including review of accruals
- Maintains appropriate files and records periodic reports and files
- Assures that all assignments are completed in a thorough and accurate manner
- Performs ordering and maintenance of office supplies
- Performs related tasks / assignments / special projects as assigned
- Prepares annual list of hour and speedometer readings of all equipment
- Prepares and collects data regarding equipment costs including maintenance and operation used for purchasing new equipment and management
- Prepares and maintains inventory control and equipment cards on all equipment
- Collects and prepares data on departmental expenditures or annual report and budget purposes
- Schedules inspections, maintains equipment schedules on vehicles, tools, etc.
- Updates all manuals
- Performs various other duties relating to scope of responsibility as assigned by County Engineer
- Attendance is required
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Required to Perform Essential Functions :
One (1) to three (3) years of prior related experience
Supplemental Information
A completed County application and resume and Iowa Workforce Development with a 40 words per minute (net score), within the last 12 months are required.
