What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Assistant - Busser position at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa?
We’re searching for someone who is enthusiastic, takes direction well, and communicates easily with customers and team members. The server assistant works closely with our main servers to make sure customers get their food on time, and their beverage glasses stay filled. You’ll be responsible for clearing plates and cleaning the table when customers leave, and then resetting it with tableware for the next guests. A sense of urgency and organization is required to keep the kitchen and server stations fully stocked with condiments and other food items. You’ll learn our menu to address customer questions and alert servers when customers need them. You should be familiar with food safety rules and have some food service experience. Responsibilities :
- Deliver food to tables in a timely and orderly fashion, and ask if customers need anything else before leaving the table
- Fill water glasses, bring beverages, or refill customers’ glasses, and remember to refill condiments and bring them to the table
- Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed
- Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary
- Clean and clear tables of debris and bring dirty dishes to the kitchen to be washed. Prepare tables for the next guests
