About the Job:
Pay starting at $19/hour with 6 months of experience!The Behavioral Health Associate serves as an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for monitoring and reporting of client behaviors; providing continuous client care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling; assisting in client data collection, recording, and maintenance; and responding in crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed.

Education required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
License/Certification required:
- Valid, unrestricted drivers license
Experience preferred:
- Chemical Dependency Treatment experience
- Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues strongly preferred
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 6:45am-7:15pm
- Mid Shift: 12:00pm - 12:00am
- Night Shift: 6:45pm-7:15am

What you would do as a Behavioral Health Associate:
- Monitor patients at all times, diffuse conflicts, ensure patient compliance with treatment protocols, and involve other clinical staff as necessary
- Facilitate non-therapy groups
- Monitor patient movement and maintain presence in large meeting areas; monitor meals in the meal room, including enforcement of portion control and putting aside plates for those not feeling well enough to physically attend meals
- Conduct safety checks, ensuring that supervision is conducted at intervals in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines
- Work cooperatively with all levels of employees and management
- Reports directly to the Mileu Manager
- Serve as a liaison between wellness staff and clients, keeping staff informed of high-risk issues..
- Identify potential client problems and discuss them in the daily multidisciplinary treatment meeting.
- Check clients for contraband and manages the clients' valuables and belongings
- Documents in client records timely, accurately, and appropriately
- Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage clients emotions, behavior, and participation in treatment
- Assists with unit cleaning, organization of new admits charts, discharge process, filing, etc. Initiates client/employee incident reports.
- Provides transfer or transportation for client or coordinates transportation with appropriate staff member, as required.
- Maintains an awareness of client's needs and individual goals while motivating clients towards activities which are beneficial to them. Observes clients’ interest levels and behaviors.
- Enforces safety rules to prevent injury and modifies activities to suit the needs of specific groups.
