What You'll Do
- Operate a multi-line phone system and online messaging system in order to communicate with internal and external customers regarding job orders and needs.
- Maintain a "Big Picture" view of calendar regarding technician scheduling in order to assign real time and future technician jobs.
- Stay up-to-date of the Central Virginia territory and changes that may occur (e.g. directions, zip codes, local terminology, additional routes, etc. which may influence the timeliness of a technician's response time).
- Continually exhibit a positive customer service mentality with both internal and external customers.
- Remain confident in your ability to make the correct decision when determining technician call order and stops.
- Answer incoming phone calls as needed to assist in complete departmental coverage.
- Periodically work extended hours during peak times; including nights, weekends, and at home.
- Work a rotating schedule to cover weekends and holidays.
- Members of this team are also able to earn overtime as available.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have expert directional understanding of the Central Virginia area (i.e. zip codes, local terminology: West End, South Side, The Fan, general travel time between locations, etc.).
- Previous experience with service dispatch is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; including excellent telephone skills.
- Experience with a multi-line telephone system.
- Fluent English-speaking and writing skills.
- Organized, detail oriented, able to handle a variety of tasks in a simultaneous manner.
- Must be an independent thinker - "Go Getter" mentality exhibiting initiative to make decisions and trust your instincts.
