*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dental team with various procedures. This position requires strong customer service skills, willingness to learn and ability to work well with a team. No prior experience as a dental assistant is necessary- we will provide all on-the-job training you will require.
*Duties*
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for patient procedures.
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of medical history and treatment plans
- Perform basic dental procedures such as taking medical imaging (X-rays) and impressions as directed by the dentist.
- Provide excellent patient care by welcoming patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns regarding treatments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and workspaces in compliance with health regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as managing medical records and coordinating with the dental receptionist when necessary.
*Requirements*
- Familiarity with basic computers skills is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not required for applicants willing to learn on the job.
