Starting Salary : $19.00 Based on experience
Employment Type : Full-time
Work Environment : Monday – Friday 6 : 00 am – 2 : 30 pm with OT as required
Job Summary :
The forklift mechanic is responsible for complete diagnosis and repair of Propane Forklifts. Lift capacities vary from 5,000 to 12,000 lbs Hyster brand forklifts.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Observe functioning of forklifts to detect hazards / problems and need for adjustments, repairs or replacement.
- Repair and maintain forklifts within the establishment
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklift equipment
- Safely disassemble, and repair or replace broken parts
- Dismatle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tools and test apparatus to locate defects
- Clean and lubricate parts
- Document all work performed
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
