Work Environment: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Job Summary:
Package finished parts and move with forklift to the proper area. Tags Loads
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Tag Loads.
- Follow packaging specifications for each customer.
- Monitor Treat Levels.
- Help out in keeping work centers supplied with stock and/or pulling finished product off work centers when needed.
- Set the pace and lead by example when training new people to help out I the packaging area.
- Drive Forklift.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read digital caliper and tape measure.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Woodgrain Forklift Certified.
Physical Demands:
Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
