Position Overview
Responsible for pre-finishing doors using paint or stain in a spray booth in accordance with customer specifications and established company quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
High School diploma or GED and two years of related experience in painting or staining with spray equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Carefully inspect doors for defects and irregularities prior to staining or painting.
- Work in a spray booth and ensure proper application of paint or stain in accordance with company guidelines and customer specifications.
- Ensure stains and paints are applied correctly and meet established quality standards.
- Clean tools thoroughly after use to maintain functionality and safety.
- Communicate with fellow employees as necessary to monitor and direct workload to ensure smooth operation and proper product flow.
- Remove dust from doors using tack cloth and air gun as necessary prior to staining or painting.
- Inspect all finished products for defects or irregularities and perform touch-ups as necessary.
- Maintain accurate paint inventory, using older stock before newer stock, and report discrepancies.
- Sign off and complete appropriate paperwork at the completion of each job.
- Notify the supervisor of equipment malfunctions or issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.
- Familiarity with door components, assembly techniques, and finishing products.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency.
- Comfortable wearing a mask and other protective equipment for safety while working with paint and stain.
- Basic analytical, reasoning, and math abilities.
- Automotive spray gun experience is required.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
