Job Summary :
The Shipping, Packaging & Receiving Operator will move materials safely and efficiently to and from production lines, band material prior to moving material to the warehouse, and assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed. Drivers are held to a standard to adhere to all safety practices and comply with all company policies including Department Employee expectations. With on-the-job training the Operator will learn the duties of the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator and backup said during absences.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Champion Safety. Safety is the upmost priority. Maintains a healthy work environment by following all company standards, policies, and procedures as well as those required by state and federal law.
- Pull raw customer orders for shipment.
- Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner according to company guidelines.
- Transport material throughout the manufacturing plant safely with forklift.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followed.
- Perform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving material.
- Print labels for shipping cartons.
- Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
- Close individual cartons. Each carton is to be placed in the correct customer location rack to be able to unitize for shipping.
- Cleaning up debris where you have moved materials.
- Bands and wraps pallets and cartons as required.
- Move racks within the plant as needed.
- Assist with other production functions as needed.
- Provides additional backup support to the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
