Starting Salary : $55,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary :
The Staff Accountant position requires performing a variety of accounting close and reporting functions, as well as month-end reconciliations, ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision. This position reports to the Site Controller. No supervisory responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with Woodgrain accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger with regards to GAAP.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting practices, processes, procedures, and initiatives.
- Perform all activities in the accounts payable function to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and check requests. Inventory reconciliation, parts creation, and building material and routing updates.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Assist Controller with plant problem-solving and CI teams as finance subject matter expert by gathering manufacturing support and providing analysis in such areas as process performance, line efficiency, capital spending, inventory management, customer service objectives, production costing, and cost reduction.
- Assist Controller with budget preparation.
- Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Generate and send customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor payment statuses and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile daily bank transactions and process payments.
- Manage cash flow and coordinate with bank representatives for account needs.
- Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and customers.
- All other duties as assigned.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work.
Travel :
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
