Windsor Windows & Doors, a leading manufacturer of wood and vinyl windows and patio doors, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to work within the maintenance team. This individual works to maintain and organize the maintenance department and keep accurate information for and by the department as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and screen each work request to see that it has all information needed to complete task and seek out additional information as needed.
- Develop and maintain planned and predictive maintenance procedures as required in CMMS system.
- Identify and obtain materials and special tools and equipment necessary to complete repairs and preventative maintenance and maintain inventory of items.
- Responsible for parts and tool inventory control, discrepancy resolution, and inventory inspection based on lead times and historical usage.
- Ensure that critical parts are in stock, and inventory is well organized in the parts room.
- Maintain backlog files of work orders waiting scheduling in accordance with their priority with an estimated completion date.
- Assists in developing a file of standard work for regular machine and facility preventative maintenance. Based on manufacturers recommendations as well as historical experience.
- Review with manager the actual labor expended versus estimated labor and material used for completed jobs
- Conduct informal training as required of maintenance personnel in proper maintenance procedures and proper reporting procedures and in the use of CMMS software as a maintenance tool
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude
- Experience with industrial controls
- Attention to detail and specific knowledge
- Understand written or verbal instructions with the capability of accepting responsibility for interpretation and /or solving.
- Capable of being confidential with different aspects of quality and production issues and standard cost information
- Leadership skills
- Previous experience required. 3-5 years of mechanical/industrial maintenance experience
