Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Technician to join our team in providing care and support to teens recovering from Substance Use Disorder. This role involves working closely with residents, assisting with medication self-administration, and implementing daily program events.
Duties:
- Work directly with teens with SUD
- Provide resident care and support in accordance with recovery program
- Collaborate with other staff
- Transport residents to events and appointments
- Maintain accurate MAR
- Write shift report
- Facilitate small groups and 1:1 recovery sessions
- Communicate updates to family groups where necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience working in recovery field
- Proficiency in resident care and crisis management
- Working knowledge of 12-step groups
- Experience assisting medicine self-administration
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
Preferred Skills:
- Certified Recovery Specialist or willingness to obtain the certification
- Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques
- Trauma informed care
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Medication Administration Certified
