Position Summary:
The Spa Manager is responsible for coordinating the spa schedule and ensuring the proper guest flow through the spa on a daily basis. Responsibilities include checking out guests and retailing products and gift cards. The Spa Manager will work closely with Spa Concierge and the Technical staff to ensure that each guest is on schedule for their treatment(s). Additional responsibilities include conforming to the Woodhouse standards that are included in the Team Member Handbook and Operations Manual. Like all Woodhouse Team Members, the Spa Manager will strive each day to exceed our guest’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as second in command to the Spa Director, ensuring optimal spa operations in their absence.
- Maintain organization, troubleshoot issues, and enforce protocols to uphold spa standards.
- Drive retail sales and cross-selling efforts, overseeing opening and/or closing duties.
- Implement fire prevention protocols and ensure safety procedures.
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week (up to 50 during slow periods), including payroll reconciliation.
- Meet performance goals and assist the General Manager as needed.
- Lead monthly employee meetings and manage front desk operations.
- Schedule and oversee hospitality and technical staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage employee relations, spa parties, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Support concierge duties, oversee daily laundry services, and maintain retail area organization.
- Coordinate appointments, greet guests, sell gift cards and retail products.
- Educate guests on services and maintain spa ambiance standards.
- Complete daily close-out reports using Zenoti.
- Uphold Woodhouse brand standards and comply with corporate protocols.
- Participate in training programs directed by the General Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support spa operations.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in guest relations and/or retail—highly desired;
- Experience with the marketing and sales of luxury brands—desirable;
- Experience with Meevo/Zenoti software—a plus;
- College degree or advanced certifications—a plus.
