This full-time, year-round position starts May 1, 2025, with the hours of Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Bookkeeper will work in a collaborative team setting and be responsible for keeping the accounting records of the School current and accurate, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation functions, maintaining general ledger supporting schedules, and preparing annual audit schedules. This role involves working closely with the Controller to ensure the school's financial operations are efficient and compliant with all relevant regulations. The administrative offices are at the Bothell campus and is conveniently located off I-405 just north of State route 522.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will:
- Be committed to excellent communication with families, staff and the rest of the school leadership team
- Possess extensive background and experience in bookkeeping.
- Experience in Independent schools is preferred.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of current practices in bookkeeping.
- Exhibit a high degree of organization and attention to data and details.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Contribute positively to the school community beyond the job specific tasks, including active cross-level collaboration with a can-do attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or bookkeeping or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
- Two or more years of relevant accounting experience in a nonprofit organization.
- Commitment to professional development and best practices in bookkeeping.
- Commitment to meeting the needs of the School.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
The salary range is $26 - $35 per hour, dependent on education, training, and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, Long-Term Disability, life, and supplemental insurance, paid time off, 403b retirement plan, professional development allowance.
