Summary

This Engineering/Detailing role focuses on Cabinet Vision fluency and reports to General Management, with potential delegation to the Operations or Plant Manager. The position entails production detailing, material take-offs, and measuring. Additional responsibilities include production and sales consultation, maintenance of Cabinet Vision parameters, and occasional training and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Intermittent training of staff on drawing techniques, assisting in project drawings during overflow periods, and supporting customer sales by providing information, consultation, and showroom assistance.
• Measuring tasks include traveling to job sites, assessing cabinet dimensions, and ensuring truck accessibility using laser and tape measures.
• Consult with both production and sales teams to resolve drawing issues and ensure alignment with manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration with the purchasing department, managing appliance specifications, and addressing non-standard construction.
• Cabinet Vision parameter maintenance, including updating templates and materials, is essential to streamline production.
• Detailed review and correction of job drawings to ensure materials, part sizes, and construction accuracy.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in on-site measuring and installation
• Proficiency in Cabinet Vision (programming, maintenance, operation)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in detailing/engineering and material take-offs
• Knowledge in designing for volume production of custom and semi-custom cabinetry
• Customer service experience, including pricing, design consultation, and client interaction
