Responsibilities
- Consistently maintain the highest standards with respect to safety, leading by example and ensuring the team follows all policies, procedures, practices and regulations.
- Engage production and maintenance workers to achieve targets, meet expectations, and address deficiencies in a productive and professional manner.
- Develops and implements programs to ensure product meets standard at each job function and implements corrective action through Supervisors.
- Manage and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and maximize the quality, value, and recovery of lumber produced.
- Foster a culture of open and respectful communication while, hire, train, coach, mentor, develop and supervise the work of employees.
- Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competencies and knowledge.
- Analyzes quality control information provided and initiates corrective action plans as required.
- Analyzes raw materials daily, make adjustments as required to meet production budget levels.
