Position: Receptionist/Office Manager

Lay Team Oversight: Front Desk Volunteers
Position Overview:
Woodland Church is a growing missional church called to Gather, Grow, and Go to see Jesus transform lives. The Receptionist/Office Manager will serve as a member of our operations team and be responsible for manning the front desk of the church office Monday - Thursday during office hours at our Battle Creek Campus. This role will maintain the common spaces and ensure our team has the supplies needed throughout the week. They will serve as a friendly and helpful first face for visitors and guests and provide general administrative support for the church staff. This individual will need to demonstrate strong administrative gifts, have a passion for hospitality, and be a driven self starter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the “First Face” to the office, welcoming guests with a joyful and welcoming demeanor, developing and overseeing a reception volunteer team and assigning tasks to administrative support staff and volunteers.
- Serve as the primary contact for arranging facility rentals.

- Outside Events
- Provide general administrative support to church staff, including printing, document review, running errands, and purchasing supplies.
- Manage our Church Calendar system, highlighting scheduling conflicts, reviewing requests and sharing reports as needed.
- Respond to emails and questions from church wide communication platforms (email, Facebook, voicemails, and written correspondence)
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and other materials. Maintain paper and electronic files in a confidential manner.

- Must have proficiency and comfort in navigating technology and productivity software. (IE: Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Email account Management, Google Calendar, Zoom, etc.)
- Be a team player who is gracious and respectful to leadership, and is collaborative with peers and volunteers.
- Attend staff and department meetings and retreats as requested by the Executive Director of Operations
- Accomplish administrative tasks, communication and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Operations
Employee Compensation Information
$17 Hourly Wage / 24 Hours per week
$300 Reimbursable Expense Account (Used for Books, Materials, Training, Softwares, Event Attendance, etc.)
Benefits Include:
