Key Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Specialist I, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quality and food safety audits individually or as part of a team
- Ensuring proper labeling and paperwork for inbound products
- Performing equipment cleaning and ATP swabbing after sanitation processes
- Evaluating product samples at the time of receiving and manufacturing, considering factors such as appearance, size, moisture analysis, and ingredient statements
- Assisting with general data entry on QA-related documents, such as product information and Vendor Certificate of Analysis
- Auditing all receipts and paperwork for accuracy in terms of items and quantities
- Conducting pre-operational inspections at production site
- Inspecting equipment used daily and reporting any issues as needed
- Releasing products that are on hold when approval is received
- Maintaining accurate records for all QA activities, including inspections, audits, and testing results
Requirements:
- High School diploma is required
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years of work experience
- Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills are essential
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, are required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent report writing, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail is a required attribute
