Woodland Management Service, one of the leading natural resource consulting firms in Wisconsin is looking for several professionals to join our team this year. WMS is a forestry consulting company that specializes in overall management and appraisal of forestland properties throughout Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Eastern Minnesota. We have an intensive training & development program and our land management professionals are continually challenged to become the best professionals in their field.
FORESTRY TECHNICIAN
Assist in the overall management of properties both large and small, development of new clients, forest inventory, forest appraisal, forest management plans, timber sale administration, planting, etc.
Skills desired (not all positions require all of these skills)
- Must have a Degree or be pursuing a Degree or have experience in Forestry
- Certified Plan Writer certification (optional)
- Very good knowledge of silviculture of Wisconsin trees
- Good driving record
- Excellent writing skills
- Desire to challenge yourself to be the best everyday
- Ability to quickly adapt to new projects and situations
- GIS & GPS capabilities
- Real Estate management and sales experience (optional)
- Public speaking proficiency (optional)
- Ability to spend several nights traveling throughout the lake states
Some of these job duties may be done remotely, but a forestry technician must also be able to travel and work within Wisconsin at times.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour
