Position Summary
The ADON will play a critical role in our facility’s healthcare management. This position involves a combination of direct patient care and nursing team leadership. The ADON is responsible for ensuring high standards of resident care and providing staff training and support.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily operations of the Nursing Services Department, reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON).
- Conduct rounds to observe resident care, assist nurses, and ensure proper documentation of treatments, medications, and resident conditions.
- Communicate with physicians regarding resident care and meet with residents as needed.
- Support the Resident Assessment / Care Plan Coordinator in planning, scheduling, and revising the MDS, including the implementation of RAPs and triggers.
- Mentor and supervise the nursing team, fostering a supportive, professional environment.
