Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team, hours are 2pm to 10 pm 4 on and 2 off. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position is essential for ensuring that all laundry services meet the high standards expected in a hotel environment. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, performing laundering tasks, and ensuring that all items are cleaned, pressed, and ready for use.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items efficiently.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating machinery and handling cleaning chemicals.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques, including knowledge of fabric care labels and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods while performing duties.
