What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Woodland Place?
Summary:
Cleaning all areas of the Community by performing daily cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, restrooms and offices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to push/pull housekeeping cart, vacuum and carpet cleaner
- Professional positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to embrace the mission and culture of the organization
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs daily cleaning of resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices in a clean and sanitary manner and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Performs terminal/detailed cleaning of residents’ apartments.
- Cleans and maintains carpet and other floor types.
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
- Performs high and low dusting.
- Ability to determine and utilize the appropriate cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Follows all infection control practices/standard precautions.
- Observes safety precautions at all times and reports safety hazards as appropriate.
- Replenishes supplies.
- Uses and maintains equipment properly.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Always introduces self to residents, families and visitors.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
