What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Tech position at Woodland Polymers?
Purpose of Role:
· Place recyclable plastic into grinding machine for processing.
· Keep all un-recyclable plastic material from going into grinding machine
· Keep area clean, and sweep any debris was from machine
· Sort different types of plastic received in
· Remove defective pieces or items.
· Take instructions from supervisors.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulation.
· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Keeping equipment (band saw) operational by completing preventative maintenance and notifying supervisor of any issues with equipment.
Grinder Qualifications:
Controls and Instrumentation, Equipment Maintenance, Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Safety Management, Quality Focus, Power Tools, Judgment, Decision Making, Ability to understand the following instructions with respect to customer requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift up to 55-lbs.
· Able to stand 8 plus hours per day.
· Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
· Occasionally reach with hands & arms; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl.
