Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II performs maintenance related skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled tasks working with other staff and independently
PER DIEM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function)

Completes Work Order information and other required logs on Worxhub using provided tablets and computers (*CF)

Works alone and/or with others performing maintenance tasks and work orders

Communicates to supervisors and other staff about assigned work

Completes all required training and in-services
-
All other duties as assigned
EXAMPLE ESSENTIAL TASKS
Maintenance Tech II is to be able to independently complete tasks similar to these in a timely manner and have extensive experience doing so in a work environment. Included in completing each task is selecting tools, materials and equipment needed for the task:

Change an electric outlet, switch, ceiling or wall mounted light

Repair small and large drywall damage, rendering area complete and finished
-
Frame out an interior wall with door in metal or wood framing
-
Remove and reinstall kitchen sink, faucet, drainage, etc.

Remove and reinstall bathroom faucet, and shower diverter
-
Paint an entire room in a timely manner with proper preparation, wall repair, cleanup
-
Replace a failed plumbing fitting or pipe (PVC & copper)
-
Remove and reinstall toilet. Install new toilet components
-
Repair, replace ceramic tile, floor & wall
-
Replace a lockset
-
Repair broken cabinets and furniture
-
Adjust door in a wood frame or steel buck
-
Perform miscellaneous grounds tasks, including participating in snow removal operations during scheduled shift and as needed
Qualifications

Qualifications

High school diploma, or HSE
-
Minimum of five years related experience or graduate of technical school with at least three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have demonstrated working knowledge maintenance type work

Valid NYS drivers license
-
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, memos, and instruction manuals

Demonstrated ability to operate a computer and function with work order software
-
Ability to multitask
-
Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the geriatric population
Salary : $31 - $33
